U.S. Immigration Officials Detain Second Terrorist from Columbia University, Revoke Another Student’s Visa

U.S. immigration authorities have taken a second individual into custody for their involvement in pro-terrorism demonstrations at Columbia University. Additionally, another student’s visa has been revoked.

The Department of Homeland Security announced on Friday that Leqaa Kordia, a Palestinian from the West Bank, was detained by immigration officers due to an expired student visa. Kordia had previously been arrested in connection with protests at Columbia in April 2024.

Meanwhile, the visa of Ranjani Srinivasan, an Indian doctoral student, was rescinded by the Trump administration on March 5, citing allegations of promoting violence and terrorism.
