DOJ Antisemitism Task Force Chief: Hamas Supporters Will Face Years in Prison

“Not just 24 hours, but years,” warns civil rights attorney Leo Terrell.

The U.S. Department of Justice’s newly established Task Force to Combat Antisemitism is preparing to file federal hate crime charges against activists who support Hamas and engage in intimidation tactics against Jewish individuals, according to civil rights attorney Leo Terrell.

“In major cities like New York and Los Angeles, Jewish students have been harassed and even barred from accessing university facilities, local prosecutors failed in their duty. In just a month, we will accomplish more than the previous administration did in four years.”

The first indictments are expected within the next 10 days.

“If colleges fail to protect Jewish students as they do others, we will take legal action and strip their funding.”

Since the Hamas-led attacks on October 7, 2023, antisemitism has surged globally. “Our mission extends beyond the U.S. We are setting a precedent for the world,” Terrell explained.

On February 3, the Justice Department formally launched the antisemitism task force in response to President Donald Trump’s executive order, which directed all federal agencies to report within 60 days on their strategies for combating antisemitism in the aftermath of the October 7 attacks.
